Community Priorities
Balanced Budget
We are facing a ballot measure that asks residents to raise taxes. While there may be a consensus that
everything is fine, I am not entirely convinced that there is no room for improvement. A fresh look at
the finances is under progress. More coming!
Community Engagement
Seats going unopposed highlight serious issues. My experience has shown me that there are many barriers
that need to be broken to engage diverse voices from the community.
Youth Leadership
Dreaming to make San Ramon a hub of innovation, where youth receive strong motivation to pursue
leadership. Inspired by our youth, I created
Lead4Earth.org, where
young people promote climate leadership and collaborate with peers in various cities to support youth
environmental leaders.
Parks and Open Spaces
We have exploited much of our open space, and if left unchecked, we risk becoming a concrete jungle. I
have been actively monitoring the City Walk project and similar dense developments where everything is
within a 15-minute walk. I will work to ensure that all new developments do not come at the cost of our
open space.
Environment and Sustainability
The Infrastructure Bill passed in 2021 by the Biden administration offers many forms of assistance for
local governments. I am committed to identifying the best grants available for San Ramon and
coordinating with other city leaders to gather their suggestions.
